Golden Horse

A pre-historic book by Kurt Allerslev, Marshall Weber, and Christopher Wilde.

Inspired by prehistoric iconic cave drawings, Golden Horse graphically re-imagines and reinscribes letterforms as anthropomorphic characters while maintaining both literary and kinetic narrative.

In the text the golden horse of the title forms the anchoring metaphor for thought - the neurological processes that result in both cognition and action. Thus a million year history of language is compressed and run forward and backward throughout the accordion fold book.

GoldenHorse4.jpg The Golden Horse also counters the Biblical myth of the Golden Calf - representing a positive contemporary manifestation of pagan belief in the co-evolutionary nature shared by humans and other terrestrial species.
