The Museum of Arts & Design (MAD) has joined with the Museum of Applied Arts (Museum für Angewandte Kunst, or MAK Frankfurt) and the Klingspor Museum for Book Art in Offenbach to present Form and Content: Corporal Identity/ Body Language. The exhibition probes contemporary attitudes toward the human body and the relationship between body and self. It premiered June 18 through August 2003 at the Klingspor Museum of Book Art in Offenbach and the The Museum of Applied Arts in Frankfurt, Germany.

The Museum of Applied Arts, recognized as one of Europe's most inventive and advanced museums, is known for its Triennial exhibitions, highly anticipated events that have been presented regularly since 1978. Corporal Identity/Body Language, the museum's ninth Triennial, is the first in which MAK Frankfurt has chosen an American museum as its partner.

The curatorial team includes Ursula Ilse-Neuman, curator for MAD; David Revere McFadden, MAD chief curator; Sabine Runde, curator for applied arts at MAK Frankfurt; and Stefan Soltek, director of the Klingspor Museum of Book Art. Collaborating with Booklyn curatorial staff and other experts and collectors in the field, the curators selected nearly 150 artists from Germany and the U.S.

A special section of the exhibition focuses on highly innovative artists books and features the work of over 23 Booklyn associated artists including:

Harriet Bart
