Fred Rinne

San Francisco urban-folk artist, 'journalist' and gardener Rinne uses found materials, outsider aesthetics and his unique painting, drawingand writing style to create astounding books that expand and then explode all preconceptions of both the book arts and cultural critique. Fred documents skewed underground worlds that few of us are either cursed or privileged to encounter with an equally disturbing perspective.

Santa Christ, 2003, A brilliantly funny and yet somehow incriminatingly (is that a word?) disturbing depiction of the confused state of spirituality in North America. A handpainted edition of five with legible text (novel for Fred!). Covers wrapped in garish (and most likely shoplifted) Christmas wrapping. The original unique hand painted book rests in an exclusive and unnamable East Coast private collection.

Click here to audibly witness Fred posess your computer - possibly forever!!! - with a stirring rendition of the text from the book Walmart does not want you to read!
